The use of cell-phones in classroom

Is beneficial the use of cell-phones in classroom?  Everyone knows that technology is literally controlling the people’s mind or in a few words, the entire world. The cell phone started to be something that you can use to call someone who is far away, but over time, the technology had an important evolutionary, so now people not just uses cell-phone to call someone, they navigate the internet, take pictures, listening to music, playing games, and many other things that in a past no one would believe it. That's why this essay will argue how beneficial it could be a good use of cell-phone in classroom. Using cellphone in classroom has many advantages. Firstly, if you have access to wifi or your own red you can search the information about are learning in classes or can deep about the information searching others authors, or compare information, etc. It’s a good way to start a debate if someone finds something different, because there are many points of view, but this is a goo

The importance of the Education for the growth of a nation

Is necessarily the "Education" for the growth of a nation? People often claim that a degree is important to reinforce their capacities, knowledge and abilities. Well, it doesn’t. The education system has proven time and time again that school is nothing but an expensive daycare for kids and teenagers. The average student doesn’t learn or is interested in the subject matter. Tha is why the education system it just implanting an idea, repeat "correct" anwsers and that's it … It does sound like the military or the army for that matter. Students are conditioned to solve problems that they very well may not face in the real world, rather than apply the answer on a piece of paper to get a good grade. This system has failed and teachers and many people alike are not to blame but the government. The state doesn’t want people who question the establish order of things, if you do so, you will be called crazy, rebel, or ignorant.  The importance of self-education

Money spent on Books

This line graph clearly shows the money spent on books in four countries of Europe (Germany, France, Italy and Austria) in different years that includes from 1995 until 2005. First of all, we can see the green line color that represents Germany, where since 1995 until 1999 the money spent on books, increased rapidly almost 10 million dollars. However, since 1999 until 2003, money decreased slightly less 10 million dollars. But Germany recovered again and even increased dramatically since 2003 until 2005. In second place, we can talk about the blue line that belongs to France. Just in 4 years (1995-1999) the money spent increased slightly almost from 55 million dollars until 60 million dollars. Then since 2001-2003 the line remained steady in 70 million dollars. Finally, the line increased gradually since 2003 until 2005 in 5 million dollars more. In third place, we can see a yellow line that belongs to Italy. In 1995 started increasing gradually until 1997, then from 1997 li

How important are champions?

In this post I will discuss about a video of Rita Pierson called “Every kid needs a champion” where she talk about her experience of being teacher, how through the relationships and interaction with other people can make you be a better person. Since I started to study in University, I have learned many things, and one of these things is the importance of interaction. The relation with the others is the base of a good learning, and how Rita Pierson said, is not about that you like all kids, is impossible like all kids, but the key is they can never know that. Is relevant question that anyone is perfect, that is the reason why children need to know teacher is a normal person like them, who can get wrong and apologies, or have a bad day like anybody. In conclusion, a significant role of the teacher (something that R. Pierson have question herself in her discuss) how can teacher raise the self-esteem of a child and the academic achievement at the same time? She answers with her

EMOTIONAL EDUCATION IN CHILDHOOD

Background: Contextualize in 2018, Chilean people have problems to control their emotions, because studies suggest that society do not have knowledge in emotional education, people are still thinking emotions like an insignificant thing. But the not controlling of their emotions, the ignorance about how to express them because is looked down upon socially, this it could mean a real problem in future. That is the reason why I am going to talk about the emotional regulation in childhood. Problem: Every day the importance of technology is increasing, that is why people are losing the capacity to socialize with other people out of computer or smartphone. And the problem that we can see is how people do not know how to express themselves, how to talk with other person; even families are getting broken sometimes because of that. But, technologies it could be one of the reasons why people do not prefer talk about their problems or emotions with other person, and prefer write on

Bio Data

My name is Romanett Alcaíno. I am an undergraduate student, cursing the second year of the career of preschool education at University of Chile, Santiago. In a first moment, I just choose this career because I have good connection with children, but in that moment, I do not know how much important it was be an educator.   As a student of the social sciences faculty, I am close to other careers related to preschool education; there we have anthropology, sociology, psychology and social work. But the area that I recently have become more interested is in childhood psychology, because there we are learning about the self-regulation emotions, how a person can recognize an emotion (happiness, rage, fear, etc.)   And can control it. Someday, I would like to have a grant to do a semester abroad, maybe in Iceland, because there they have a different form to educate. School is not like in Chile that is why I want to understand to my own how they educate children. I do not have any res

Email to Stephanie

Hi Stephanie, thanks for your email. I’m going to tell you about Laura. She is 19 years old, and she is studying nursery education with me. She is a very responsible girl; she is always reading new texts about the subjects we are studying, and I really admire her because of that, actually, I do not have time to read all of the texts that teacher send us, and she always is looking for more texts. She has a really good level of English, so you could talk with her without problem. About her family, she lives with her two parents, and she has an older brother, but he doesn’t live with them, because he got marry last January. Laura is very reserved, she doesn’t like talk with other person, she prefer lives in her own world and listening to music, or read a book in her free time. I mean, she is not a noisy person. But, the only negative thing I think she has, and I will be absolutely honest with you, she has bad-temper, sometimes I don’t know how to stay close to her when she is ang
